Overview:

By the infamous chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa aka Nobu - Matsuhisa has a more casual interior but with the same great quality sushi. Even though it isn't on the menu, my absolute favorite roll is the spicy scallop roll. I had it the first time at Nobu and was able to order it at Matsuhisa. It is simple yet amazing. The quality of the fish is great, the service is good, and they have a great sake menu. It is more expensive than other sushi places but based on food alone, I could eat here every day!

Overview:

This place is about as close to the "hole in the wall" description as you can get. It isn't your typical scene restaurant in Beverly Hills but instead feels like you stepped in to a neighborhood pizza place in NYC. I like to sit at the counter to order a slice, or two, and then maybe one to go...

Overview:

One Pico is located in Shutters Hotel in Santa Monica and not only is the food great but so is the interior design and the atmosphere. The menu changes but several times I have had the octopus, salmon, and the artichoke hearts. They are all fantastic. The salmon and artichoke hearts have been particularly memorable.

They do a great job with the vibe being a more casual beach feel during the day but then more of a romantic feel at night. A great date place!

Overview:

I loved takeout at Greenblatt's. They have amazing options to choose from and some of my favorites included the tuna salad and the chicken soup. They also have a great wine shop with very good prices.

Overview:

I only grabbed dessert here to go so I have not eaten from the menu. I love the space, it is large, white, simple but the bakery area provides plenty of color! I had the rose and pistachio macaroons, I don't eat macaroons very often but I did like these. My favorite was the key lime tart, it had some kind of lightly toasted marshmallow on top. I will be going back just for that dessert.
